Is it kind of a thunk thunk thunk at a certain RPM, that you can accelerate through?
Mine was bucking at a somewhat lower RPM (around 2200 or so), pretty much in narrow RPM band (the worst of it). Seemed to be much worse in the higher gears, was hardly noticable in 1-3. Was also pretty sluggish at higer RPM´s (around 3000+).
Fixed the vacuum leaks
Cleaned the TB and associated stuff
Adjusted the TV cable
Replaced the TPS
Adjusted the TPS to around 86/14% for the auto tranny.
Re indexed my distributor
Finally replaced the O2 sensor, which cured most (95%) of the bucking.
Get the feeling I had more than one thing going on, but most of it turned out to be the O2 sensor.
My old iron runs pretty darned good now.
