87' Flexplate VS. '91

I am swapping in a complete '91 HO motor, AW-4, & 242 this weekend into my gutted '87, & plan on using the Renix. Does anyone know if I can get away w/ the '91 flexplate or do I need the '87 to run the Renix (CPS-missing teeth on ring gear-issue)? Will the '91 flexplate trigger the Renix properly? I don't yet know if the ring gears are different, & don't want to seperate them to find out. The whole motor-trans-T-case will be going in as one unit, hopefully nice & easy.

when I swapped a 94 AW4 behind my 88 motor I was wondering the same thing. there is a different part number for the flexplate, and people here seemed to be fairly certain they are different in regards to triggering the CPS. Mine was under $60 new.
