What is this for??

My RE lift came with a part called sway bar relocation brackets. They look like they offset something about 2 inches down and an inch or so forward or backward (depending on the orientation in which you mount them). I got long JKS Quicker Disco's. What are those relocation brackets for? Are they needed? Do they move the sway bar forward or backwards?

Thanks

If you adjust your control arms out (bringing your axle forward) enough, the sway bar will make contact with the springs. These alleviate that problem by moving the sway bar forward, away from the springs.
If everything is installed and it's not a problem, don't use them.
