92 xj w/AW4 and NP231

I have an 87 s10 with a NP207 that is going to the crusher. I've got 2 questions if anybody knows...

1> is the NP207 a weaker TC or just a louder one?

2> worth pulling the NP207 out of the s10 as an extra TC or for parts for the 92 XJ if they are interchangeable?

the s10 is kinda far away and I can't go and measure anything right now
thanks for any input

The 207 is kind of obsolete, a pain to get parts for, and the input housing on the front of the case is a FIVE stud pattern, not SIX, like the xj. So, I think you wuold be better off letting it go. On the good side, the 231 from the s-10 is the same inside and on the back of the case as the xj, I know this because I am using one. I had to change the front of the case, and redo the shifter linkage rod, but the d/s splines are the same count. Mine came from a 93 s-10
hope this helps, and remember dirt doesn't hirt(at least thats what I tell my wife.)
