Move Driver's seat bracket?

Has anyone moved the driver's seat bracket on an 89 XJ? I want to get at least an extra inch. I was told I could try the seat/bracket from an MJ and it would do what I want.

Any ideas? Anyone done this?

I have checked them. They only fit on the 96 and above according to the guy who runs it. He states it is due to the change in the floor pan. So that is out onless I want to modify the bracket.
