body guys...

You have take it to a body shop and they put it on the frame rack and check the dimensions out of a book. They won't do that for free. An easier way to check for body work is to look for paint overspray on the plastic parts or in the door jams by the rubber gaskets. Lift the outside window gaskets and look for a paint line. Pull the lens on the side or tail light and look for overspray on the wires. Check behind the plastic door panels and see if you have a different color on the inside of the door. Most body shop people can spot body work/new paint by just looking at the car. However, keep in mind, fresh paint doesn't always mean that heavy body work was done. Try Carfax.com, but not all accidents get reported.
