how many inches can i go before i need long arms. im at 4.5 with 33's will have 4.56's and a sye. any ideas cash wise also if i went the long arm route?

im running the RE 5.5 lift which is sitting at about 6.5", with short arms and 33's and jason over at jeepin.com is sittin at the same with 35's no problems at all

I am running short arms on about 7.5", however I do run RE drop brackets.

Long arms could potentially be run at any height. But for any resonable height they are not necessarily needed. People decide to go with long arms for many reasons but (I believe) mainly for the on road ride quality.
So, to answer your question; it'd be a matter of how your jeep is riding on road. I'd bet that your riding just fine with that set up...?
I've got about 7" of lift with RE drop brackets and short arms. Rides the same if not better than stock.
