GM bolt pattern on AW4

I've herd rumors of there being a bellhousing that would bolt an AW4 to an MJ 2.5L, but can anyone confirm this? I've been wanting to change my 2WD XJ into a 4WD, and since I have an AW4/NP231 lying around and my 2WD trans just gave up the ghost(went crunch and thats all she wrote) I thought now might be a good time to invetsigate this Idea.
If said bellhousing is too rare, can I redrill the housing I have to fit the 2.5? Or, can I redrill and tap new holes in the 2.5 so that the current bellhousing will fit?
