anybody happen to know if a 8.8 out of a 86' ford wagon is significantly wider than a xj rear? like more than an inch or two? b/c i have a free one that will be stronger than my 218k mile d35.

I'm prety sure he means stationwagon. The 8.8 came in a variety of cars, from the exploder to the Crown Victor to the aeroscar, but I think the ones out of the crown vic. would be too wide while the bronco 2 ones(if there were any) would be too narrow(I think).small pederson said:

I have an 8.8 from an f-150, it's about 64" wms to wms but the bolt pattern is 5 x 5.5"...
