transmission swap help

Will a 3 speed auto off of a 2.8 work with a 2.5?? IF so what all is needed?

no. the bell housings are different

Digger, are you sure on that ? A lot of places I've read have said the 2.5 uses the 2.8 V6 bellhousing pattern. Does the year matter ?

I've got a 2.5 tranny sitting in the garage if someone's got a pic of a 2.8 tranny I can compare with (can try to get a 2.5 pic too, but need to borrow a camera)
