High oil Pressure?

iv been noticing my oil pressure seems to be quite high. this is on 4.0 motor that has less than 2k miles on it and hi volume oil pump, it has been sitting around 60 or higher. it normally goes to down to 40 or so at idle and it seems to be staying much high than that now. It did do something wierd the other day. when it was cold the other day and i started it up i went to give it some gas and it like almost quit was a very strange thing. not sure if this may be related to it or not. any ideas???
