coilspring retainer clip Q?

Ok what bolt size holds the retainer clip down? I noticed it loose yesterday and found out the bolt that was in it was the wrong size so I went to the hardware store and well nothing fit! it was either too big or too small...both metric and stan. I'm getting pretty ****ed off atchually...it's funny when I blew my motor I was pretty calm about it but something as small as this is just ****ing me off!!

Mine in my 95 are 5/16 coarse. One of them stripped out real easy. drill it and use a 3/8s and nut or? .
