D44 Torque Question?

Hey,
Just checking, what is the torque spec on the nuts on for the retainer plate? I was looking in my Haynes(yes it sucks ) And the closest thing I could find was 32 ft/lbs. As this sets the bearing preload I think it's called, I kinda don't wanna mess it up

Are you talking about the axle bearing retainer plates ? There is a torque spec ? You are ahead of most of us,we just use goodntight .

On my calibrated scale it is about one half a grunt.
