Did it over the weekend. Easy swap! The bore of the 4.0L TB is much bigger! The butterfly is bigger! I would think that this would give more than just boring the 2.5L TB. This swap should work on all 2.5L 91-96 maybe even 97-99. I believe 99 was the last year the 2.5L was in the XJ. All you have to do is swap the 2.5L sensors and the metal piece that says 2.5L onto the 4.0L TB. Plug it all back up and go! I used a 97 TB that has the Map ssensor on it. However that sensor will not plug into my harness. So I just kept the stock on on the firewall. Initial impresions, are good. ABle to accelerate in 4th gear on slight grade. Impossiable b4 the swap. Next I need to find out how to add more fuel now that i have more air going in and see how much better that is.
