Roof Lights and a Ski Rack -- How can this be done?

I have a ski rack mounted on the stock gliders. I would like to mount lights on the top of my roof and still beable to load up a bunch of skis aswell. I have been looking at roof rack setups and that doesnot seem like a good solution.

What if the lights were mounted on top of the ski rack. The part the lifts up and then latches down on top of the skis. But I think it wouldtake much to shake the lights up and down.

Can I get some input.

think of adding a 3rd rail for lights only?

something like this might work - if your into that.. (yes i know its for a tj/yj)

people mount lights on bumpers too (thats where mine are)

also (probably the simplst solution) is to mount them in the middle between the ski carriers, and on the outside - outside the ski cariers. on my Yakima racks, the ski carriers only take up the outsides of the rack, the middle is still open...

I have my lights mounted on my rakima bike rack, I just made sure they weren't in the way. I wouldn't recomend lights on the roof, mine are usless most of the time because they get knocked bacwards by tree branches and just shine up at the sky. I would go with bumper mounted lights.

P.S. If you go under your user cp and go to edit options and change your setting to Enhanced Interface you can shrink the pictures you post. :lecture:
