Backgound: I am working on a 89MJ with full cluster.
I am installing a set of glow gauges right now. I got all the small ones done very easily but I am having fitment problems with the tach and speedo. Because the overlays were ment for the 91+. I bought them only becaue they didnt sell that style for older jeeps. Andway I know if I can get the original black metal faces off somehow I could easily make it work. I remember somone telling me that the needles for the tach and speedo come off but the smaller gauges dont. Can anyone confirm this? I have an have to get my truck all put back together because I have like 10 days until it must have emissions done and I dont think they would be happy if I pulled up with no gauges.
