2wd engine into 4wd ??

probably a stupid question but here goes
If I have a 4wd 4.0 cherokee will a 2wd 4.0 fit as far as an engine swap
of course they would be both renix engines
 
The engine is the same. The difference begins at the transmission output shaft and tailcone housing.
