Stock axle swap???

does any one know if a 8.25" out of a 98 will be a bolt in swap for the dana 35 in a 91? I'm specifically concerned about the length of the driveshaft and the size of the universal joints? the "donor" was found at a junkyard and there was not much left to compare. Thank you, Chris

It'll bolt in, the only difficulty could be the driveshaft, it'll be off by about an inch but I don't recall which way (too short or too long). The u-joints aren't an issue either.

The axle U-bolts will be too small if they are on a D35 now.You need some 3" wide U-bolts.
Drive shaft will be a little long but should fit.

Jeez...how could I forget the u-bolts? As much of a PITA as they were when I did the RE lift with the default D35 u-bolts I should remember that one. Thanks for catching it.
