New/Reman 4.0 - Tapco, Jasper, etc. ???

Mulling over a replacement long block for my '92. Anybody have any experience with "new" engines from Tapco, Jasper, <shudder> DC, somewhere else?

(Yeah, this is might be an OEM Forum issue, but I figured anybody who's played around with full engine swaps is over here. Feel free to switch it if you wish, Mr. Moderator)

I have a 100k mile non-HO motor sitting in the bed of the "New Bedford" MJ at Eagle's place if you want it to build a replacement engine out of. I know it won't be a direct drop in, but you should be able to make it work. I just need the A/C compressor off it... Eagle was supposed to swap it out for the replacement bracket & idler pulley I left there.

Hey Mike, I've got 160,000 miles on my Jasper and still going strong. I'd highly recommend them.
