automatic shifter handle

hey everyone, i was looking into replacing the stock shifter handle off my 2001. i have read gojeeps site, gojeep very informative thanks, i had something like this in mind, but not sure if it would fit, and how i would make a press button on the handle to disengage from park, reverse etc. any ideas would be helpful thanks.

You can't use a "universal" handle like that. Ones like the B&M you linked to are the same as a manual trans shift knob; no detent button. B&M automatic shifters use a separate lever for a detent.

does anybody know what shifter handles have the detent button on it. or know of a way i can make a button on the other handle.

Look on ebay. There are tons of them.
