Gasket sealant Q`s

I want to replace the following gaskets this weekend,
1) valve cover - using a PermaDryPlus type
2) EGR
3) Throttle body - Paper type
What do I use to seal/apply each gasket?
Thanks, I couldn`t find what I needed while searching.

Maybe a little silicone on the valve cover and nothing on the other two. The surfaces have to be degreased for the silicone to stick. Use MEK, acetone, or the like.

Just enough to hold the valve cover gasket in place while reassembling or a thin
bead all the way around? The gasket is rubber(silicone?) over metal.
