front u joints

the front cv/u joints in my 1990 xj are shot and i was wondering if the spicer 5-297X u-joint will be a direct replacment for the 5-260X u joint. Thanks in advance

The answer is no. The 5-760's are a drop in replacement for the 297's. As far as I know there isn't a swap in for the 260's.

well when i was driving i here a cliking type noise so i went under neath and descoverd that i could rotate the u joint a 1/4'' so i figured that means i must replace them.
