AC compressor noise.....

when the AC unit is at idle. With the compressor running/AC on the noise goes away. There should be a bearing some where in there. Is this field fixable? I have only the basic set of mechanic tools. Do I need special tools to fix it? What parts should I arm myself with? TIA.
