I don't know how to weld very well, but have an aquaintance who does. He does it professionally. MIG, TIG, ARC etc. I have not asked him about repairing this yet, so I'm asking you people first.
I know that my XJ is uni-body constructed, but when I refer to the "frame" y'all know what I'm talking about, right?
The pictures below are of the "frame" on my XJ showing a rusted thru area.
It has the same amount of rust thru on the bottom of the frame also. I was wondering if this can be repaired or atleast re-enforced? Maybe with a good size piece of angle iron or flat stock. I know the rusted area goes beyond what can be visually. Any ideas or input would be appreciated.
