More power for an old 4.0

I was wondering how I could make more power with my 90 4.0, all of the bolt on upgrades are for the 91-up HO, is there anything i could get from a junkyard to up my power, such as a head from a 96.

check out dr.dyno's website, bound to be something there that can help, dont have his site but it shouldnt be hard to find
 
How much power are you looking for??? Here is a place that does a bolt-on supercharger kit for any 4.0L fi http://www.avenger4wd.com/products.htm

Most of the bolt-on performance mods for the 4.0 HO can also be applied to the Renix 4.0, including DIY porting the head. My site will give you some ideas.
 
Will that supercharger kit work with the renix 4.0? Didn't see anything on thier site about early 4s. Not to much of a hassle to go to a HO-intake manifold but just wondering

after a little digging I found this onthe pricing page (http://www.avengersuperchargers.com/Prices.htm) "4.0L 6-cyl Cherokee '87-'02" so I think it must have a new manifold or adapter or something since wasn't the '87 a carb engine?

No, the 4.0L has never been anything other than multi-port injection.
 
btw, CW, I saw a couple pics of your rig@picturevillage... where did you get those front flares with the frenched turn signal??? Those are wicked!

They are TJ flares. I got them from quadratec for $100. They will probably be in the for sale forum in a couple of days, I have to get some flippin Bu$hwacker$ to end my proplems with the "man". :smsoap:
