Will gauges from an 88 XJ/MJ plug into my 90 XJ?

Yes.
If you now have idiot lights, you will need to replace the oil pressure sender and the coolant temperature sender (the one on the left rear corner of the head) with the senders for gauges.

Yes they will, assuming you're not changing straight from idiot lights to gauges. If you have lights now you will need new sender units.

How do I change those. I have idiot lights and want to have gauges.
