Which brake line is the front one

Which brake line is for the front brakes off of the master cyl.

the line towards the grill or the line towards the steering wheel???

towards the steering wheel. at least it is on my 89'. the front reservoir is for the rear brakes and the rear reservior (closest to firewall) is for the front...

I have excessive chatter from the front outer brake pads. I am looking to hook up a residual pressure valve to keep more pressure in the system to keep the brake pads tighter. There is a lot of chatter coming from these. I doubt my system is keeping enough pressure on them to hold them tighter.

The front is an 81 d44 out of an 81 waggy..so the outer pads just ride on the thru bolts. I have used the plasticote stuff to try to adhere the pads to the caliper, but that didn't work..so I figure the resdual valve was the way to go.

any input on this??
