suppose a guy put a header off of an 4.0 HO on his renix 4.0 '90 and plugged the egr at the bottom of the intake. Could he weld a bung onto the later header for egr without having to worry about leaks?

If ya get some nice welds it'll work...IIRC it's been done quite a few times, although there's more guys that have scrapped their EGR's altogether.
There should be a few threads in the back posts
