Fully manual tranny control? AW4.

Lots of talk lately about the 1-2 auto tranny thing.

Looking at the schematics couldn't you just rig up a push button control for the tranny and be able to control all the gears and the TC electronicly?

I've read about someone doing it or trying it somewhere.

Kinda an auto tranny that works like a manual but you still get the benifits of an auto when you want to and torque multiplication of the Torque converter and no clutch to wear out.

I would love to be able to control it by just moving the gear selector forward and backwards through the gears and have the TC locked up except when hitting a button.

I think BrettM came up with a system for shifting the AW4 manuel with a rotaing switch. I know there was a post on Pirate and JU for it.

Yeah I've read alot of articles like that and I'll probly do at least that but I was thinking it might be possible to take it a step further.

To bad it doesn't work with a 97, it would be nice to control the gears like that, then again, in low gear it doesn't really matter.
