Waggy 44 front axle?

I've been looking into getting rid of that weak 30 up front so I was wondering if anyone has took a front axle from a wagoneer and put it in the front of a cherokee. I am going to want to set it up for coils. Do the waggy axles have manual hubs? And what is their width compared to the dana 30? Thanks

p.s. If you're gonna stick with coils and you have either the money or the fabrication skills... Go with a Hi-Pinion Reverse Cut from a 70's Ford F-250
You can keep 'em full width or narrow 'em...
...a bit stronger than the waggy axles and better clearance

Waggy axles are a nice cheap upgrade if ya go with leafs... but again, if you're gonna make coil buckets, you might as well get a nicer axle
