i have a 92 xj with the 8.25 rear and explorer discs. i was wondering if those of you out there with this same set up changed their proportioning valve. if so what year and make did you use and what was involved, i really appreciate the info.i've heard someone say that they used a zj prop. valve but i don't know what year or if abs matters and if all new lines are needed or if it is a basic bolt on swap. thanks in advance.

Actually you can upgrade to the dual diaphram vacuum booster setup with the newer master cylinder which is available on 1995 and newer XJs and that should do the trick. IF you still need more stopping pressure.... You can remove the rubber cup off the slider inside the proportioning valve which will give you equal pressure to front and rear calipers.
