I am getting a chirping noise. I don't know where it's coming from, and I don't notice it all the time, mostly upon acceleration and stopping. I know its not a belt or the brakes. I believe I've heard that a u joint can make this noise if it is going bad????? Any help would be appreciated! thanx!

U-Joint? I would say that it is possable, worth checking.

The chirp increases frequency with vehicle speed? I'll bet a 6er of Fat Tire it's the centering joint in the front driveshaft. They dry out pretty easily and are a PITA to lube. A quick check is to remove the front driveshaft and see if the noise disappears. If it is, you already have the driveshaft out so it's time to do some maintenance on the u-joints and centering doodad.
