does the selec-track have a slip yoke? if it does are they prone to vibes with lifts like the comand-trac is. also if they are vibe prone will a hack&tap sye work on them as well .

Same as 231. Pre 96 they had internal/ATF lubed slip yoke just like the 231. Post 96, they had the external yoke, just like the 231. The hack and tap will work on a 242, just like the 231 of that year model.

what about the heavy duty SYE? that replaces the shaft.
