Backup Light problems

I'm not getting power to the rear.

I have done a search and checked all the easy stuff. Tonight I pulled a hot wire to the back of the MJ and spliced it in and got the back up lights to work.

Checked the switch.

I then traced the wire back to were it goes in the cabin.

Who has chased the wiring start to finsh?

Or who can provide some additional advice?

Were does the hot wire originate and were do the switch wires go?

Any suggestions other than a 6pack! :wierd:

Sounds like your neutral safety switch.

Your hot wire goes from the fuse block to the tranny to the back-up lights.

Check a manual and see what the colors are. Pull the wire off the tranny and check for power. If no power, check first conncetion or if the wire had been damaged, if power, trace to the rear and see if a wire had been damaged. Very unlikely as it bundled with all your other rear lights.
