I've searched but can't find a solid answer

you've probably heard it a million times, and I can usually find my answers without posting, but this time I can't seem to find the answer.

I will be purchasing a rusty's 3" AAL kit. Do I need to do a 1" t-case drop or SYE? If I do need to do either, how expensive and difficult?

I have a 98' XJ with 30" tires. The most I plan on going will be 31" but that wont be until the engine is stroked.

Also it would be nice to see pic's of XJ's with 3" inch lifts.

SYE is better but tc drop will do. It did on my 2000. To do it you'll want an impact wrench and a good stud-remover socket.
