I am looking for a resource or suggestions about getting rid of some of the clutter under the hood in my 92 Cherokee Laredo.

Pretty much all the so called clutter you are referring to is needed on new engines to have them run the most efficiently possible. It's not like the old days where you could pull the smog pump. The way they get engines to run as clean as possible and get the best mileage possible is by getting them as efficient as possible. There are very few things I can think of that could be removed without hurting performance.
If you have that limited a concept about how newer vehicles run, I would recommend staying out from under the hood.

you could relocate the battery (use a sealed battery if you put it inside) and you can eliminate the air-box with different intake, the one that goes over the valve cover looks really nice.
