wiring question...

In the attempt to redo the alternator wiring to a heavier gauge I have notice that there is a small red wire off the factory bat cable that goes about 2 inches, has a disconnect, and then proceeds under my PDC.

Can ANYONE tell me where this goes, or what it's too? Don't want to tear things all apart to find out I did something wrong AGAIN !!

P.S. it a 91, and I have looked at a 1990,94,96,98,and 01 and none of these have the same battery cable...

I'd like to help, but can't figure out what a PDC is. Maybe I'm tired.

2 ideas if it goes into the PDC and not just into another harness:

Perhaps the computer that year needs a separate keep-alive power source for code and parameter retention and that's it.

or

If it goes into the PDC, check all the fuses with a voltmeter to find which has 12v (probe the tops), then disconnect that connection and test again. The one that goes away is it - then reference which fuse it is.
