Pitman Arm ??????

What is the Deal....

Skyjacker and other company's use and EXTREME drop pitman arm...
Then you have R.E. who just uses a 3 Quarter" pitman arm....

I talked to Rusty's and they recommend their 3" pitman, even with highsteer??

What is the deal, and does it really matter.....??

I'm going 8" of lift and highsteer in the next couple weeks..

You just have to make sure your trackbar and draglink are parallel. I use the 3/4" drop pitman. The further the drop the more stress on the steeringbox and make sure you address the steering box area.

Funny I remember talking to Rusty and he said the 3" pitman would be too long. I did have only 6" and it was with the OEM links and his HD tracbar and mount.

I have a brand new roughly .75-1.0" increased drop pitman arm sitting on my shelf. I never got around to using it. I can measure the actual dimensions if you are interested and get you a pix.
