Dumb Door Panel Removal Question

I just get the panel loose from the door handle/lock mount...then rotate/pry on one corner. Once one corner is through, work around the edge and the panel should come right off. (sorta like unbeading a tire)

after you take the screws out you gotta lift up on the panel so it will unseat by the window then rotate a little till the latch will come out

it's hard to get the panel off if you don't fully remove the door handle/lock assembly, someone stated above that you have to pull it up and rotate it around the black plastic piece that holds the handle and lock. the other alternative is to remove the handle/lock, there are 2 metal rods that connect the door handle and the lock switch to the mechanism, it's hard to describe the procedure but basically you pry them out of the plastic pieces on the back of the handle/switch (one each, obviously) then it comes right off. it's easy after you've done it a few times, but it's pretty hard to see what you're doing in there as the panel is in the way.
