Driving Light Fuse Q's

Guys,

I've had a set of Hella 500's on for almost 1 year and had my fuse blow. I replaced it and it blew within seconds. Any area's to check? All the conections to the relay seem fine. I haven't taken the lenses off to see if a wire is loose and shorting out. Only other suspect is maybe my conector to my battery is corroded. Sound right to you guys?

Thx,

PLATZIE

No

A corroded battery connection would reduce the voltage to the lights, it wouldn't blow the fuse instantly.

You have a short.

yup. check the relay(if you have one) to make sure everytihng is securely connected. check your grounds. get out the multimeter if you cant pinpoint it just by looking at it, but its probably something obvious/easy
