ok today i went to a junkyard and pulled a 9" off a ford econoline van. not sure of the year i am wonderind on spline count and gear ratio. any info will help. i would like to build it up.

do you know how to find out the ratio?
if not you need 2 people..
setup the axle on jackstands...
mark the yoke with white or yellow chalk on yoke and axle so line meet as comeing around....
mark both tires (or hubs if no tires) on top with chalk...
one person on each side... or 3 people if axle is on vehicle...
have 2 people turn wheels (or hubs) clockwise slowly(at the same time) counting to 5....
as the other person counts the time the yoke turns.. that will give you your ratio...
