HELP AW 4 needs a rebuild

well my tranneys fried on my 98 XJ with just over 115k on the od. i can turn wrenches with the best of them but i am clueless on the workings of an auto tranney if someone can help outa the kindness of there hearts for maby bear99 and a little cash send me a pm it will be a week or 2 b 4 i have the funds to do it. thanks

You would be most likely far ahead just to get a tranny at a junk yard. You can get them for around $75 at the Pull-n-Save type yards. I saw a couple at Andersens in Greeley a few days ago.

Western Auto is off of federal and 64th. Last time I was there they didn't have too much XJ stuff though.

Pullnsave in Aurora has them occasionally.

Stay away from Jeeps Unlimited and BJ's, unless you want to sell a kidney.
