I just did a brief search, because I thought I remember reading that a YJ, or ZJ pitman arm could be used for a 6" lift.
Any info?

Stock ZJ arm. About $40 at your local stealership. Good for about 3/4" drop. HTH

Use the extended pitman, do use it. I can say it did not make much difference either way.
Just be sure your Draglink and Trackbar are parallel. If you have modified your trackbar, then you may need the pitman to be adjusted as well.
