With front locker does vaccuum disco go away?

This is a followup question to my earlier thread on the front vaccuum disco axle on my 89. I'm regearing this to 4.10's from 3.07's. I am thinking about a locker, either limited slip, full time or selectable. If I go this route, does the vaccuum disco go away...not need/used anymore...with any locker?? The locker, whatever one I choose, takes the place of the vaccuum locking collar???? I'm trying to understand...thanks for your help and patients! I have the high pinion front. The 4.10 ring and pinion are on the way. I just need to select the locker. I only do mild to medium off roading and am replaceing the rear D35 (yes, I still have it) with a newly rebuilt OEM TracLok, with 4.10's.
