Tie-rod ?

I think I've seen this done before, but can't remember where. I know the holes in the steering knuckles are tapered, but is there a way to flip the tie rod to the top of the knuckle rather than coming up from below? Maybe with larger tie rod ends that may require putting a larger taper on the knuckle? Can this be done and would it help steering geometry?

There is a kit from Goferit that allows you to flip the TR as you described. You will need to drill out the knuckle, weld in the special sleeve they send you, and you'll be set. The sleeve has the stock taper already built in, so you dont have to re-taper once you weld it in. HTH
