Anyone here spooled a D44 front axle with lockouts?

Tell me about the funny handling quirks in 4WD and in 2WD with the hubs still locked.

lock outs or not......

I sure as hell wouldn't run a spool.....

selectable all the way.

how 'bout a spool with full hydro steering? How would that work? Not necessarily on an XJ, I'm thinking tube buggy here.

I run with a guy who has welded front on a 30 with the disconnect. I personally have never driven the truck but he says he likes it. He also seems to break u-joints quite frequently on 33s then I go through same line but no breakage on my 35s

Yeah, I'll repeat the obvious.....it's going to be hard to steer and will be very hard on axle u-joints.

Hey, didn't we run the 'Con a couple of years back with a guy who had welded up his 30?

I seem to recall multiple broken U-joints and seperated ball joints, and a lot of tow strap work........
