longer drive shaft?

has any one ever done a little investigating on this?

i changed angles and instead of a sye i want a longer drive shaft outta something. i could probably accomplish the same thing with a long slip yoke but its cheaper to get a shaft out of the junk yard.......what do the minds of naxja think

Well actually it is possiable to use a different shaft but you may not need to look too far. What engine, tranny, & tcase combo do you have? If its an XJ I believe there MJ Metric Ton rear shafts are longer and could be cut down. The 2.5L auto rear shaft is longer than the 5 speed. HTH!

i have a 91 xj w/ the 4.0 and its a 5 spd.....of course it 4x4 but i am not sure what transfer case is in there...its stock i am just not up on the lingo yet...haha i think i only need 3 inches or so
