leaf spring questions

my springs are dieing right now, I get a lot of wheel hop in 2wd when I accelerate hard or am 4wheelin. I want to remove the lift block and go dakota springs one question. Does my main spring look in good enough shape to keep them when I do the dakota spring swap?

Without hijacking your thread, I want to know what those bizarre lookin spring thingys you got going on there are. Are those some kind of overload? Incidentally, its hard to tell how good your main spring is from the photos, but they don't look cracked anywhere, and don't seem to be sagging. I would say get some dakota leafs or some from an f150, or even a YJ and do a little trial and error with different combinations. Its actually fun!

Those are shucks leafhelpers(thats trademarked btw!) if I take them off the drivers side sags about 1 3/4inch and the passanger side sags about an inch. Basicly they have a nice reversed arch without those leaf helpers.
