8.25 carrier ?

I have an 98 xj with the 8.25. I am thinking of buying a locker that replaces the spidergears, but am wondering if the factory carrier will hold 4.56 gears. I know that the gearset is out there ,but will I need to change the carrier?

The factory carrier will accept gears up to 4.56.
