How do you like it. How do you rate the stregth vs. other axles.
And do you think it can be used as a front axle as well? :peace:

No problems with mine so far. Strength wise, compares to a D44, personally I think they're a little more stout than the 44 and probly a little stronger than the Toy 8". It would be possible to use one for the front, but you're talking major fab work and a special t-case. Definately would not be worth it. RC44 is the answer for the front if you're wanting the strength of an 8.8.

I DON'T HAVE AN 8.8 yet but i will be swaping out the 8.25 for one soon when i lift my xj. I have been loooking at this for a year and half (i just got out of school so give me a brake for taking so long !) :worship:

I have tons of links i have saved up on it. For the price an 8.8 swap can't be beat. If you swap in a $450 8.8 you get rear disks which alone is worth around 150-200, and if you can sell your 8.25 for $70 bucks your new 8.8 is rapidly approaching the hardly ever attained "free upgrade".

heres some links, decide for yourself though, i think a 8.8 is almost as strong as a 9" but with better pinion angle, stronger than a d44 by allot, and if you weld the axle tubes and truss it it will in some areas approach the strength of a d60.
